Alapfok B1

In the picture there are two little girls in swimming suits. The swimming suits are similar, both of them are dotted and striped but their colour is different. One of the suits is dark blue and the other is red. There is a pretty little bow on the top of them. The girls are swimming underwater. Both of them are laughing. They seem to enjoy swimming. They’re wearing swimming goggles but they aren’t wearing a swimming cap. Their brown hair is long. They look similar to each other and they look the same age. Maybe they’re twins. Twins sometimes wear similar clothes but in different colours. I don’t know whether it’s a swimming pool or the sea somewhere. The water is clear blue and very clean. I can’t see any plants or animals in the water so probably it’s a swimming pool.

Swimming is a healthy sport and it’s a must to learn how to swim. Children usually start swimming lessons at kindergarten age, but there are baby swimming courses, too. Babies can swim when they’re born but forget how to swim if they don’t go swimming as a baby. I was five when I learnt how to swim and I go to the swimming pool twice a week in the morning before school.

Középfok B2

Two little girls are swimming underwater in the crystal-clear water in the picture. The picture must have been taken in a swimming pool because sea water or lake water is usually not as clean as this. They look very happy and they obviously enjoy swimming. They are wearing identical swimming suits, which differ only in their colour: one is dark blue and the other is red with dots and stripes on them. They are wearing goggles but no swimming caps, which is strange because in swimming pools swimming caps are usually required. Wearing a swimming cap is a good idea because it keeps the swimmer’s hair more or less dry and it keeps hair out of the pool. Swimming is a universal skill, almost everyone can swim. The sooner children start the easier it is for them to learn how to swim. There are different types of swimming styles like butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. Swimming is healthy and not a complicated sport and you don’t need expensive equipment to do it. If you feel like swimming just grab your swimming suit, a towel, slippers and a swim cap and head for the nearest swimming pool.

The girls in the picture look quite similar they are probably twins and that’s why they’re wearing similar swimming suits.

When I was a child it was compulsory for us to go to the swimming pool once a week with my class. I was a good swimmer but I quite hated to go because we had to swim more than we would have liked to and there was only very little time left for playing in the water at the end of the lesson. I had very long hair and the swimming cap couldn’t entirely keep the water out and I had to dry my hair. It was always humid and extremely hot in the little room where we had to dry our hair. I hated it and I always tried to skip drying my hair but our teacher was very strict and she didn’t let me get away with it and I had to dry it anyway. Nowadays when swimming is no longer a must I do it with pleasure. I swim at the weekends. It’s good relaxation after a hard week at work.

Felsőfok C1

This delightful picture is showing two grinning children swimming underwater in a pool. They are radiating the happiness and self-confidence of children without cares. Their toothless smile indicates that they are about six or seven years old. That’s the age when the front incisors usually fall out making children look so pricelessly cute with the gaps in their teeth. They look about the same age and they are wearing different colour but otherwise identical swimming suits. Either they are twins or sisters with a very small age gap. Their mother probably likes their look in similar clothes and pays a lot of attention to what they wear. Little girls like to look exactly the same as their sisters or school friends and they often beg their parents to buy exactly the same outfit as their best friends wear.

Their swimming skills are evidently quite advanced as they are allowed to swim underwater without any adult supervision. They must have learnt how to swim at a relatively young age and have been perfecting their skills ever since. Swimming is an indispensable skill and you never know when you will need to use it. That’s why it’s absolutely necessary to start it as early as possible. It’s even better not to let babies forget how to swim. When babies are born they come to the world with the innate ability to be able to swim. If they are not exposed to water in a few months this instinct will disappear and they will have to learn how to swim when they are older.

Swimming works all the muscles simultaneously. It’s a sport almost everyone can do. Professional swimming is a popular sport gluing big audiences to the screen during the Olympic Games or world championships. It’s quite amazing how fast the best swimmers in the world can swim. But there is an enormous amount of work invested into the incredible results. Training after training, getting up very early in the morning, looking after your body all the time and dealing with the inevitable exhaustion. Not many swimmers get to be the best swimmers though. It remains the privilege of only a precious few who are talented and hardworking enough. The others just strive for results and have to learn to live with the fact that hard work doesn’t automatically mean success and sometimes it’s only sheer luck that makes the difference in the performance of two equally talented and equally hardworking swimmers. Professional sport is often a sequence of disappointments and short of the exuberant joy that is still evident on the faces of the two little girls in the picture.
