Unsuspecting locksmith helps burglar gain access to house
A locksmith was pleased to have gained access to a house for his customer, there was only one problem – the man was actually a burglar. The unsuspecting worker was called to the property in Northern Virginia under the false pretense that the man had been locked out. After managing to gain access, the locksmith became suspicious when the man was unable to immediately find proof the house belonged to him.
‘That set off an internal alarm for the locksmith, who said he was going to contact the police if the suspect didn’t show proof he lived at the residence,’ police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck told ARLnow.com. ‘That’s when the suspect fled on foot.’ There is no word yet on the suspected burglar but the locksmith will probably ask for identification before he starts to unlock a house next time…
