Mini Monet’s Popularity Continues To Rise

An 11-year-old painter dubbed the ‘Mini Monet’ has seen his latest collection sell for £390,000.

Kieron Williamson’s 40 watercolours, oils and pastels sold out in just minutes at the Picturecraft Gallery in Holt.

Twenty-nine of the landscapes sold for £265,000 through a pre-exhibition sale with the remaining 11 pieces fetching £125,000 the next day.

Kieron has been selling his work since the age of 7.

The youngster first started painting when he was just five years old and was inspired by boats in dock during a family holiday to Cornwall.

His work first came onto the market in 2009 when 19 of his paintings were sold for £14,000 in a sealed-bid auction.

Since then he has gained international renown and his new collections are regularly snapped up for hundreds of thousands of pounds from buyers around the world.

Last year he saw his earnings soar to £1.5m after another collection sold for £250,000 in just 20 minutes.
