Különleges flash mobra készülnek Budán a Gellért-hegyen. Olvasd el a hírt, és ha van kedved, csatlakozz!
What if hundreds of people used their flash simultaneously to light the Gellért Hill for a few minutes? It would be the biggest flash in the Budapest summer. Join the event and help flash the hill!
A flash mob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and seemingly pointless act for a brief time, then quickly disperse, often for the purposes of entertainment, satire, and artistic expression.
Gellért Hill is the heart of Budapest. If you walk the banks of the Danube in the evening, you can often see small flashes of light, when the tourists take their pictures near the Citadella. That’s where the idea came from.
We invite you to the hill. Bring your camera and point it towards the Danube. If you don’t have any or you just want to watch (the action) – come and enjoy the sparkling view from the riverbank of Pest side.
TIME: Thursday, 23 June 2016, 20:45
In case of bad weather, the event will be held on Friday.
When?
One time only, shortly after sunset, on Thursday, 23. June 2016 from 8:45 PM to 8:55 PM.
Where shall I go to participate?
Gellért Hill has many walkways. We recommend the paths facing Pest starting from St. Gellért Square to Citadella, because they can be seen best from the other side. If you can find a clear spot which is not covered by trees, fine, but don’t worry if you can’t. If you have a strong flash, the light can be seen through the trees.
It doesn’t matter if you will be at the foot of the hill or at the top – the most important thing is to be ready to flash at 8:45 PM!
How many times should I fire my flash?
As many as you like, but 5 to 10 minutes of continuous flashing would be welcome, because we’d like to record the event.
Where shall I go if I just want to watch it?
If you just want to enjoy the view, we recommend the east bank of the Danube, between Erzsébet Bridge and Petőfi Bridge. The best spot to watch will be near the BCE and the Bálna. We will record the event, so you won’t miss anything if you can’t make it.
