Most Popular Baby Names Of 2014 Revealed
The Social Security Administration has just released its annual list of top 10 popular names for 2014.
When it comes to baby names, the Social Security Administration is probably not on the list of sources for expectant parents. However, considering the organization has data on registered newborns in the US, it can be a pretty good resource. The agency has just released its annual list of top 10 popular names for 2014.
Noah ranks first for boys followed by Liam, Mason, Jacob, William, Ethan, Michael, Alexander, James, and Daniel.
Among girls, Emma tops the list and then Olivia, Sophia, Isabella, Ava, Mia, Emily, Abigail, Madison, and Charlotte.
Charlotte is a new entrant in the top 10 list for 2014 and is likely to get another boost this year with all the media coverage of Princess Charlotte.
The Social Security Administration’s website displays data from past years as well. For instance, in 1915, the five most popular names for girls were Mary, Helen, Dorothy, Margaret, and Ruth in that order. John ranked 1st for boys in that year followed by William, James, Robert, and Joseph.
