Language course in Germany
A: Hi Rita, how are you doing in Germany?
B: Hi Mike, I’m fine thanks.
A: How do you like the language course?
B: Well, I’m afraid it wasn’t really the best idea to come here. This town is rather small and there is nothing to do in the evening: Actually, I’m bored all the time.
A: Are you staying in a hostel?
B: No, I’m staying with a family with two children, who are very noisy and listen to loud music so I can’t study. They are quiet after about ten o’clock but I can’t sleep well because of their dogs. They keep barking all night.
A: What about the weather?
B: It is very bad, it rains every day and there is a strong wind as well. Actually, I thought it would be sunny and warm so I didn’t bring warm clothes with me, so I caught a cold and now I don’t feel very well.
A: Poor you, that’s bad. And how did you spend the weekend?
B: We went on an excursion to the seaside but I lost my camera somewhere on the way and couldn’t take any photos. Fortunately it was an inexpensive model.
A: Why didn’t you use your phone to take photos?
B: I had forgotten to charge it the night before and the battery went flat. But at least the other people took some great pictures. I’ll post them soon.
