Step 1: You will need
* 10- 15 mint leaves
* 50 ml bourbon
* 15 ml sugar syrup
* crushed ice
* short glass
* bar spoon
* standard double shot measure
* measuring spoons
* measuring jug
Step 2: Mint
Drop the mint leaves into the bottom of the serving glass and gentle bruise with the base of the bar spoon. This will release the flavours and aroma of the mint.
Step 3: Ice
Fill the glass with crushed ice
Step 4: Sugar Syrup
Add 15 ml of sugar syrup
Step 5: Bourbon
Pour over 50 ml of bourbon
Step 6: Stir
Churn the cocktail with the end of the bar spoon to mix the ingredients. Top up with crushed ice and stir once more, just enough to mix the drink without melting the ice too much. Finally add a little more ice to fill the cocktail to the brim
Step 7: Garnish
Add a short straw and a sprig of mint to garnish
