Szia,

TALKING POINTS: QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Question:Do you make resolutions at New Year’s Eve?
Answer 1: I generally make one or two resolutions at New Year’s Eve, such as being more organised or spending less money on clothes.
Answer 2: I never make resolutions at New Year’s Eve. I think it doesn’t make any sense. You can change your life anytime.
Question:What resolutions did you make this year?
Answer 1: Last year I promised myself to quit smoking and I managed to keep it. I haven’t lit a cigarette since then.
Answer 2: I didn’t make any resolution last year as I never do. If I want to change my life or quit a bad habit I can do it any time of the year. It depends only on my will-power.
Question:Did you break your resolutions, or did you keep them?
Answer 1: I decided to quit smoking, and I also bought nicotine patches at the chemist’s. I managed to keep my resolution for a few months, but then I broke it, and started smoking again.
Answer 2: I unfortunately didn’t manage to keep my resolution. I think I’m not strong enough or I just didn’t really want to lose any weight as I feel comfortable in my body this way, too.
Question: What are some New Year’s resolutions you have made in the past?
Answer 1: When I was a kid I used to promise my parents to study harder and help more at home, but it was difficult to keep and actually they were not very strict with me.
Answer 2: When I was 14 I promised to learn English in two years and pass the language exam. I studied really hard, went for a summer course to Malta, and finally I managed to pass the exam immediately.
Question: What are some New Year’s resolutions that you have broken quickly?
Answer 1: It is very easy to break unrealistic resolutions, so I always suggest keeping it real and promise something manageable.
Answer 2: I think keeping track of your progresses is very important if you want to keep a resolution, so make realistic plans and stick to them.
