2009.05.22. – Mitől hős a hős?!

A héten ma fogunk utoljára foglalkozni a szuperhősökkel, mégpedig megnézzük, hogy milyen tulajdonságok tesznek egy szuperhőst azzá, ami : -)

Szia !

FICTION AND FANTASY – SUPERHEROES

A superhero is a fictional character who has powers which are unusual for normal people. Modern superheroes usually have superhuman powers, for example have better senses, are stronger and faster than normal humans. Usually a superhero is courageous and noble. They usually have a colorful name and costume. Some well known superheroes include Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man.

The sensory system controls the senses. People say the sensory system has five senses:

HEARING

TOUCH

TASTE

SMELL

SIGHT

is the sense of sound. Ears hear sounds.

is the sense of feeling. Tissue feels.

is the sense of the flavor. Tongues taste.

is the sense of scent. Noses smell.

is the sense of seeing. Eyes see.

People get information about what is around them from their senses.

The sixth sense is a special ability to know things without using any of your five ordinary senses such as your hearing or sight.

Who is a hero? Do you have a personal hero?

What are the characteristics of a real life or fictional hero?

Why Do We Need Heroes?

Psychologists say people grow up with a need for heroes, and the media constantly pumps up and publicizes candidates for the choosing. But whom someone looks to as a hero has more to do with their own needs than the accomplishments of the hero. Experts say the number of sports heroes has also increased in recent years due to psychological factors.

"More and more people are growing up without fathers in the home, so increasingly they turn to other figures — particularly sports figures — as a father replacement and as a hero they can identify with, especially in absence of a father figure," says sports psychologist Stanley Teitelbaum, PhD.
