Dracula’s Castle
It is a place associated with terrors of the night and a nefarious monster. But in reality, Bran Castle, also known as “Dracula’s Castle”, is a place of beauty. The serene castle is quietly settled in the woods. Considering its dark reputation, Bran Castle is actually a very bright and clean place.
The castle was built in the 13th century by the Saxons as a fortress against the Ottomans. Vlad “the Impaler”, upon whom Dracula is partially based, used this castle during raids. Visitors to Bran Castle may be surprised to find how lovely this supposedly evil place is.
