A FOUR-YEAR-OLD lad stole Christmas presents from his neighbour’s house after sneaking out and getting drunk.
Little Hayden Wright was discovered by police wandering the streets in the early hours of the morning wearing a little girl’s DRESS and drinking a BEER.
A police report said the boy snuck into a neighbour’s house and pilfered presents from under their Christmas tree during the night.
One of the gifts was a brown dress that he was wearing when he was found.
His mum claimed he had got past the child proof locks on the door after taking the beer from the fridge.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, said the blonde tot was spotted by neighbours walking down his street ringing on doorbells, drunkenly swaying while holding a can of beer.
Cops rushed the little lad to hospital early on Tuesday morning where he was treated for alcohol consumption.
Mum April Wright, 21, blamed the boy’s absent dad for his antics.
Wright, who is in the middle of a divorce said: “My biggest concern was him being out there, getting kidnapped, getting run over, the alcohol, having to have his stomach pumped.”
She added: “He runs away trying to find his father, he wants to get in trouble so he can go to jail because that’s where his daddy is.
“You can only do your best as a mother. The doors all had safety locks on them but Hayden broke one off.”
Wright said she woke up at 1.45am and panicked when she discovered Hayden was not in his bed.
She then dashed to the hospital when she was contacted by the police.
Afterwards she said: “Kids do things like this and it’s out of your control, everyone makes mistakes, it was an honest mistake.”
She has since met with child services — who agreed to let her keep custody of her son.
